Born in Manitoba, Dale started her globe trotting at the age of 3 months with her first move to Germany. She spent the majority of her life living all across Canada and returned to live in Germany as an adult for a few years. This adaptability definitely helped her when she decided to return to BC and pursue a full-time acting career in Vancouver for 4.5 years.
Prior to studying and working as an actor, Dale working in logistical jobs. Her creative side helped her when she took on the role of costumer for the Chester Playhouse Theatre childrens program for a couple of years.
An active supporter of the Film Industry she a co-founder of a group called HalifACTS. It is well-known in NS for their free workshops and seminars aimed at helping young actors and filmmakers understand the business.
Her interest in screenwriting led her to filming her first professional quality short film through AFCOOP's Film 5 Program in April of 2022. The short film, Invisibile, which she wrote and directed, premiered at FIN Atlantic Internation Film Festival in September of 2022.
The first short film she made, with the help of many friends, was shot on 2 iPhones. It can be found on YoutTube by using the search words Conspiracy, Comedy, Viral Video and Senior Rap. Yes, senior rap, it's hilarious ;)
Now firmly back in Nova Scotia, Dale has added Acting Coach to her resume, teaching 2 classes per week. Both she and her students are progressing nicely and enjoy their weekly time together.
With several scripts in various stages, you'll likely see another Dale Willman film sometime in the near future.
